Running Medicine National Grand Rounds Series: "Nutrition for Endurance Runners: Overcoming Myths to Enable Performance Enhancement"

This free webinar will be held on Wednesday, August 14 at 7pm (EST)

https://virginia.zoom.us/webinar/register/2717227142092/WN_Twd2oliQRxiLwKWnB3wBoQ

Join running medicine host Dr. Sara Raiser (UVA) for a live webinar with Dr. Dan Benardot, PhD, RDN, FACSM (Emory). Dr. Benardot’s talk will focus on established nutrition strategies for endurance runners that minimize muscle soreness, enhance muscle recovery, and enable performance improvements. Included will be a discussion of common problems faced by endurance runners, including Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S) and the tendency to focus on tissue recovery rather than on more effective strategies that help to sustain tissue normalcy. As part of this discussion, he will cover common nutritional myths that detract from performance enhancement, and nutritional strategies for overcoming these myths. We look forward to having you join us.

Note: If you cannot join for this particular month but would like to receive email invitations for future sessions (typically the 2nd Tuesday of each month), please register for the webinar to be added to the email list.
